Reminders you set anywhere on this site — an event on What's on ,
a habitat window on Mega Finale — are delivered here.
Subscribe once and they all arrive; skip this and they are armed on your account and
delivered nowhere.
What a reminder sends. A push the day before, for anything more than two
days out; another 15 minutes before it starts; and one as it begins. A message that is
already in the past is skipped rather than sent late, so an event you arm an hour before
it starts gets the last two and an event you arm five minutes before gets only the last.
The three-day limit. ntfy.sh will not
accept a scheduled notification more than three days ahead, and there is no server in
this project. A reminder further out than that is held on your account and handed to
ntfy the first time you open the page it was set on inside that window. The button says
which of the two states it is in: solid green is scheduled, amber and dashed is waiting.
Your topic is a credential. ntfy has no accounts, so the topic is the
only thing standing between your reminders and anyone else — treat it like a password.
It is generated from your browser's cryptographic random source when you first sign in,
stored on your account, and does not change.
